Exercise

We finally got a family membership at the YMCA last month.  Thus far, I’ve been diligent about going there to exercise three times a week.

Although I’d been using our home treadmill for several months, I hadn’t done any strength training in awhile.  The Y has Lifestyle Hammer Strength machines, and the first time I used them, I obviously got a bit carried away.  Was I ever sore the next day!  I could barely even walk around. 

The next few times I went to the Y, I gradually eased into my workout routine by using lighter weights.  By this point, several weeks later, my strength has increased so much that I’m able to comfortably exceed the poundage that I used during my first workout.  And, except for my shoulders (always my weakest point), I really haven’t been getting sore after my workouts.
